As we reported, a house, where Ukrainian workers lived, was set on fire in Poland.
A 42-year-old local resident set fire to a hostel with Ukrainian citizens in the Polish town of Pogozyce in the commune of Chrzanów.
The hostel is rented mainly by Ukrainians who are working in Poland. In particular, married couples lived there, even with children. The total number of people who lived there was 12.
The police spokesman said that a 42-year-old Pole from Chrzanow, who also rented a bed there, was constantly starting conflict situations and arguing with his friend.
"However, the conflict was based on personal rather than ethnic grounds. He was in conflict with another Pole," – Katarzyna Dobkowska of the Chrzanow police said.
It is noted that the suspect was remanded in custody for 3 months. He could go to prison for 10 years for "creating a situation that threatens the lives or health of many people or property on a large scale."
