“Mega-Parade in embroidered shirts” will take place in Uzhgorod

On May 24, at 16.00, a nationwide campaign, which aims to promote national clothing, traditions, and culture, will start on Teatralna Square!

Kyiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Poltava, Berdychiv, Chernihiv, Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk and other Ukrainian cities, as well as Russia’s Voronezh will take part in this year’s "Mega-Parade in embroidered shirts".

The coordinators of the campaign in Uzhgorod – activists of the youth organization "Foundation of Regional Initiatives" – determined the following the route of the parade: Teatralna Square – the pedestrian bridge – Kyivska embankment – the vehicle bridge – Nezalezhnist embankment – Narodna Square – Nezalezhnist embankment – Teatralna Square.

In addition to the spectacular grand procession, fans of Ukrainian embroidery will also have a chance to attend a concert with the participation of singers and dance groups of Transcarpathia, the Department of Culture of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.

Recall that the country celebrated the national Day of embroidery yesterday, May 21.
