Measles and flu in Transcarpathia are not going away

Doctors continue to monitor the epidemic situation in the region

Doctors in Transcarpathia continue to monitor the epidemic situation with flu, ARI and measles. According to the health care department of the Transcarpathian RSA, for the period of 2-9 of November, the number of people with symptoms of acute respiratory diseases increased by 10% compared to the previous week.

Thus, during this period, 3,107 people got sick, including 2,136 children. The percentage of hospitalization is 4%. Of these, 89 persons are children under the age of 4. Only 276 people are vaccinated against flu. These are mainly schoolchildren, pregnant women, company workers and doctors.

Last week, 123 new cases of measles were registered.

It is reported that compared to last week, doctors have registered 3 less cases of measles (123 vs. 126). As usually, most patients are children under the age of 17 (81%).
