Tracks of large trucks in the pedestrian area, grass sprouting through paving stones, a dilapidated building – all that’s left of the "Crown". The so-called restoration has been going on for quite a long time, so the weed, that does not bother builders, has grown abundantly. We took a picture through a hole in the high fence.
And it hurts to look at the roof of the architectural monument (which we were proud of). It has almost disappeared, only boards remained…
Therefore, the fear that the building will never be the same as older generation remembers it is justified. Or maybe not all is lost?
Recall that the conflict regarding this reconstruction led to the bloodshed in Uzhgorod on May 18.
