May 28 – June 2: Uzhgorod is ready for the Decade of Czech culture

Tomorrow, May 24, a ten-day marathon will begin with the solemn procession and will be finished, respectively, on June 2.

uzhgorod.in informs the readers that the organizers of the festival are the city of Jihlava and Vysocina region of the Czech Republic, as well as the city of Uzhgorod and Transcarpathian Regional Council. The program of the festival includes opening of a memorial plaque dedicated to the first president of Czechoslovakia T.H.Masaryk and mini monument to the symbol of Jihlava on the railing of Kyiv embankment, performances of rock bands from the Czech Republic LADY CATE, VIGO, ARCISKAČÁNY MORAVA, CHINA BLUE, JARDA HYPOCHONDR A DIVNA PARTA, and a number of Transcarpathian groups.

In front of the theater there will be the Czech cuisine tent restaurant with tasting of Czech dishes and beers. Uzhgorod residents and guests will be entertained by the group ŠVEJK BAND. Transcarpathian band Rock-H will also welcome participants of the festival.
May 24 in Transcarpathian regional musical and drama theater and May 25 in Mukachevo regional drama theater there will be the theatrical production of the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar."
