An agreement on gradual replacement of the old manhole covers with new ones has been made with the city authorities. Yesterday, the MU "Vodokanal of Uzhgorod" placed an order for the supply of the first 20 sets of anti-vandal heavy manhole covers from the official representative of "Kasi-Ukraine" (Czech manufacturer).
They plan to begin replacing old manhole covers with high-quality European ones next week – on the roadway of Sobranetska Street and Svoboda Avenue.
It was also agreed to manufacture manhole covers with the logo of Uzhgorod. They will be installed in pedestrian zones.
