In the Rakhiv region of Zakarpattia, police have arrested a man who inflicted fatal injuries on his partner. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Zakarpattia.
A resident of the village of Bilyn contacted the local police officer, reporting that he had found his partner lifeless in their home.
A crime scene investigation team was immediately dispatched to the location. Law enforcement officers thoroughly examined the scene and the body of the 36-year-old woman, identifying clear signs of violent death.
It was revealed that the previous evening, the 43-year-old man and the deceased had been drinking alcohol together. A conflict ensued between them, during which the man began to physically assault the woman, striking her in various parts of her body. After leaving the house, he returned to find her dead. The suspect then tried to conceal his involvement in her death.
The 43-year-old man, a previously convicted resident of the village of Bilyn, was detained by police and placed in a temporary holding facility. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
