Lviv musicians will perform works of the Transcarpathian composer in the Regional Philharmonic

On April 26, the Honored Academic Chapel of Ukraine "Trembita" will perform in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. Their visit to Uzhgorod will be take place within the framework of the VI International Festival "Music Without Borders" and will focus on the choral pieces of the famous Transcarpathian composer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Haiduk, who recently celebrated his 80th anniversary.

The Honored Academic Chapel "Trembita" is one of the oldest choir collectives in Ukraine, since it was created in 1939. It was managed by such outstanding conductors as D.Kotko, P.Muravsky, V.Vasilevich, I.Maichyk, V.Pekar, I.Zhuk, O.Tsyhylyk, V.Yatsinyak. And now, the chapel headed by the Honored Artist of Ukraine M. Kulyk is a real decoration and pride of contemporary Ukrainian choral art. It is distinguished by a wide stylistic and genre palette of repertoire, high performance aesthetics, profound and artistic interpretation of the author’s idea.      The choir is known and loved in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy and many other countries.

 The festival program will feature spiritual choral concertos, choral cycle "My native land" and the cantata "Stabat Mater" for soloists, chorus and orchestra by Vasyl Haiduk. Conductor – Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Mykola Kulyk. The concert starts at 18.30.
