Lutsenko: “Istvan Tsap has been exposed, but he escaped”

The First Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Istvan Tsap is accused of extorting 40,000 UAH from a businessman for permission to land privatization.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko.

"The mediator appointed by the bribe-taker was arrested today when receiving the second tranche of the bribe. Citizen Tsap at that time was in Kyiv, and when he learned about it, he went into hiding," – he wrote.

"I advise him to come immediately to the prosecutor with a confession. He can even make a deal with the investigation, if he names his accomplices," – Lutsenko said.

Previously, it was reported about the searches in the premises of Uzhgorod city council and in homes of individual employees of Uzhgorod city council.
