Lunchenko on the partial mobilization “We have to defend our homeland – there is no other choice”

The third phase of the partial mobilization, which started on July 24, aims to support and strengthen the forces in the ATO zone, protect the borders of Ukraine and enable the rotation of troops in the ATO area. This was stressed by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko who commented on the situation in the country.

– The third wave of mobilization will allow those soldiers, who for several months have been "at the front line", to rest, to recover morally and psychologically.  Due to the arrival of new mobilized forces, soldiers from the ATO area will be transferred to safer locations, many of them will be given short-term vacation – Valeriy Lunchenko said and added that the rotation will be performed ​​after military training of the units to be completed during the mobilization. – All draftees, who are called up during the mobilization, are to be sent to military units, where they will undergo combat training in regular units, that is, along with the soldiers. Only after the training, they can be sent to perform tasks.

 Valery Lunchenko urged the media to explain the citizens the importance of the mobilization.

– Obviously, the anti-terrorist operation comes to a turning point – Ukrainian army has surrounded terrorists. Our soldiers kill enemies, liberating settlements one after the other. The extensive work of Poroshenko and Ukrainian diplomats made the civilized world understand the real role of the Kremlin in the armed conflict. Political and economic pressure on the aggressor is growing, but Russia continues to increase its troop grouping on the border with Ukraine. It is important to understand that no external support will help us, if Ukrainian men do not stand in defense of their native land. Ukrainian army in the Donbas are fighting not only for Donetsk and Luhansk regions. They are defending all of Ukraine. If the aggressor is not stopped, then tomorrow he will come in our homes.We have to defend our homeland – there is no other choice, – the head of the region said.
