Lunchenko: I will continue to do everything possible to make our territorial defense battalion stay in Transcarpathia

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration said this on Monday, July 28, during the press conference:
 – I made a commitment and promised to make every effort to have Transcarpathian territorial defense battalion stay within the region to protect our land.

Russia continues to increase troops on eastern borders. The need of sending our battalion to the East is growing every day.
I am doing everything possible to make the battalion stay within the region. Last week, I reported on the matter to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, identified a list of important facilities that need to be protected in the region. Now we are waiting for a directive from the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the use of the Transcarpathian territorial defense battalion to protect strategic sites within our region.

Once again I emphasize that my position is that the battalion must stay within the region. I understand and share the concern and anxiety of relatives who are worried about the soldiers of the battalion. 
Today, the leaders of the country are making great efforts to settle the conflict. We hope that soon it will end and those guys, who are now in the East, will return home alive and unharmed.
