Lost tourists have been found in the mountains

On February 24, at 12:05, one of the search groups found tourists that had gotten lost the day before in the mountains of Rakhiv district. The lost tourists were found about a kilometer from the top of Petros.

The tourists are well and now rescuers are helping them to get to a safe place.

The message from the lost tourists came in the evening at 19.05.

The search for them lasted all night. And at 05:10 one of the tourists, namely the group leader, a resident of Ternopil region, born in 1993 contacted the rescuers and reported that he had reached the village of Bohdan in Rakhiv district on his own.

In the conditions of poor visibility, he lost the group, but managed to go down on his own.

According to the Rescue Service, the lost tourists born in 1993, 1994, 1996 and 2000 tourists are residents of Kyiv, and one of them (the group leader) is from Kremenets, Ternopil region.

By the way, according to the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, on February 24, due to snowfall and snowstorms, a significant avalanche hazard (level III) is expected.
