Little-known pages of the history of Carpathian Ukraine defenders can be seen in the RSA

On the occassion of the Day of the Defender of Ukraine, the exhibition "Defenders of the Carpathian Ukraine" launched in the lobby of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The exhibition was prepared by employees of the regional state archives.

The exhibition features copies of archival documents and photographs, which show the creation, management and activities of the People’s Defense Organization "Carpathian Sich", their heroic struggle in defense of the motherland.

Among the copies of the documents presented at the exhibition, there is the Charter of the People’s Defense Organization "Carpathian Sich", the order of the management on establishment of organizational districts, organization member card.

Also, there is a letter of the Soviet security agency – the Office of the MGB in Transcarpathian region – on the seizure of the documents on activities of Sich members from arrested Stepan Hirnyak from the village of Storozhnytsia in Uzhgorod district.

    The exhibition of copies of archival documents in the lobby of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration will run until the end of October.
