Light of the Resurrection. Uzhgorod received the Holy Fire (PHOTOS)

The regional center of Transcarpathia received the Holy Fire from Jerusalem.

Around 22.00 on Saturday, April 15, the symbol of the Resurrection arrived to Uzhgorod by plane.

Hundreds of Uzhgorod residents met the good news embodied in fire (it is not often there are so many visitors in the city airport).

Priests greeted the fire with prayers and hymn singing. Citizens brought candles and lit them from the lamp brought by the Fathers and from each other’s candles. 

It is believed that the Holy Fire, which brings the news of the miraculous Resurrection and which is anticipated by all humankind as a sign of the victory of good over evil, has a special power.
