“Life after Life” from “The March Cats” (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

In the informal "Corridor" gallery, which is located in the former "art fund" on Parkhomenko Street in Uzhgorod, it was once again crowded. Creative people of different generations gathered there to create a new cultural event in Transcarpathia. Art fest "The March Cats" has returned to Uzhgorod, with an exhibition in the corridor.

The curator of the project Petro Ryaska and the owner of the gallery Pavlo Kovach opened the exhibition. "The March Cats" has always gathered a lot of connoisseurs in Uzhgorod. There have been attempts to revive the festival. Now we have the presentation of visual works.It marks the 10th anniversary of "the cats". We all know the internal form of the informal gallery "Corridor". It would seem that it has nothing to do with other art spaces. It is this informality that holds the form.    

So we have "Life after Life" (2017) and "Life, Love, Fear, Spirituality, Death, Resurrection" (2018).  Thus, the new, temporal situation of this last year’s "spirituality" provokes the theme of "resurrection" and "reloading" in the year 2018. Life, love, fear, spirituality, death, resurrection – how to combine them all?

This is the theme of installations and work of the participants. Those are Kinder Album, Nikita Kadan, Pavlo Kerestey, Suzanne Clausen, Yuri Koval, Pavlo Kovach (Junior), Natalia Pershina-Yakimanska, Alina Sokolova, Olena Subach, Szuper Gallery, Lyubomir Tymkiv, Stanislav Turina, Semen Khramtsov, and Natasha Shevchenko. At the opening of the exhibition, artist from Lviv Volodymyr Topiy showed the performance, which you can see HERE.
