“Legal” sabotage of the car lobby – opinion

"Yesterday, MP Svyatash registered the Draft Resolution to cancel the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dd. May 31, 2016 on the adoption in the second reading and in general of the Law of Ukraine on amendments to subsection 5 of section XX "Transitional Provisions" of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding stimulation of the market of used vehicles – MP Robert Horvat wrote on his page on Facebook. – This is a typical "legal" sabotage of the car lobby which prevents the Parliament Speaker from signing the law until the Draft Resolution is considered by the Parliament. Only after its consideration and rejection, the Law is signed and immediately sent to the President of Ukraine in accordance with Article 94 of the Constitution of Ukraine."

Recall that on May 31, the Parliament passed the law, which significantly reduces the excise tax on used cars. The news quickly spread through all media. The next day it was reported that this law was allegedly vetoed by the President. But, in the afternoon it was refuted.
