Flight "Uzhgorod-Prague" is scheduled to be introduced in the beginning of fall – the possibility of such innovation was discussed by the head of the regional administration Oleksandr Ledyda and the director of the "Motor-Sich" airline Hennadiy Maslov at the meeting on Wednesday, July 10.
First, the head of "Motor-Sich" said: the idea to introduce flights from Uzhgorod to Kyiv has paid off – now the average occupancy of the aircraft in those flights is 70%. So, it is time to move on:
– We are finishing the final preparations, therefore, according to the plan, in September, a compact AN-140 will begin flying from Uzhgorod International Airport to the Czech capital Prague. To implement this plan, we need the support of regional authorities and business companies that operate in the region – Hennadiy Maslov said.
The pricing will be reasonable, the businessman assured.
Oleksandr Ledyda said that he supported this idea and also said that soon he would meet with the heads of multinational companies operating in Transcarpathia. "I know that they are primarily interested in this flight, so, I am sure, they will undertake some financial obligations" – he said, and promised to ensure the support of regional authorities.
Also during the meeting, they discussed another equally pressing question – starting from September, a MI-2 helicopter for the needs of emergency medicine will be based in the region. The aircraft is equipped with modern medical equipment: during flight they will be able to do a cardiogram, put a drip. It can hold 4 people – a pilot, two medical workers and a patient. Currently, "Motor-Sich" serves such helicopters in Vinnytsya and Zaporizhzhya regions. According to the director of the company, during a month, in these regions, a helicopter makes 2-3 emergency flights.
