Ledyda’s office estimated the Flag Day at 17,000 UAH

In Transcarpathia, preparations for the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, celebrated every year on August 23, continue. By the order of the Governor, they allocated from the regional budget almost 17,000 UAH. 10,000 UAH are to be spent to make 40 billboards, 2,750 UAH will be spent to purchase 50 state flags (at 55 UAH per piece). Almost 4,000 UAH will be spent for purchasing gift flags (in total, 600 pieces).

         On the occasion of the National Flag Day, they plan to organize flag raising ceremony at the central squares of the cities in the region with participation of heads of local authorities. City executive committees and district state administrations are entrusted to provide festive decoration, set the maximum number of flags on buildings, on balconies and windows in homes of citizens. It is also planned to organize and conduct auto and motocross with national flags through the streets of the regional and district centers of Transcarpathia.
