On the first of July, the Governor Oleksandr Ledyda by his order established an interagency commission to resolve ownership for immovable facilities of the "Perlyna Karpat" sanatorium.
The commission was ordered to process and submit their proposals for solution of this issue within fifteen business days.
The governor appointed his deputy Anton Hromovy as the chairman of the commission, and the Head of the Department of Communal Property Victor Lushchak – as the deputy chairman. The commission also includes several subordinates of the head of the RSA, heads of agricultural development, social protection departments and the regional office of the state property fund.
The "Perlyna Karpat" was opened in 1989. People with cardiovascular diseases and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract have undergone treatment there. Long time, the facility for 500 beds was one of the three largest resorts in the region. The sanatorium has not been in operation since 2009 – after the infamous incident with children poisoning. One of the main problems is the legal one. Currently, the litigation over the ownership of the complex is ongoing.
