Ledyda got a scolding from Azarov for bad roads and mismanagement

In Transcarpathia, only 60-70% of the funds, allocated to the region as the subsidy for construction and maintaining of the road network of communal property, have been used. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in his opening speech at the meeting on February 6, 2013, reported Zakarpattya online.

"In 2012, not enough subsidies were allocated for the development and maintenance of the road network of communal property, the local authorities did not mobilize available resources and the allocated funds not always were used effectively – Azarov said.

– The funds were dissipated between many objects. That is why a significant improvement was achieved in a very few regions. And at a large number of objects the works have not even been completed. The subvention was used in full only in Dnipropetrovsk region. In Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Khmelnitsky regions it was used at 92-98%.Only at 60-70% – in Odesa, Chernihiv, Transcarpathian regions."

As previously reported, in July Azarov already criticized the Transcarpathian government for failing to use the money allocated for road repairs. Then Transcarpathia used only 10% of the amounts received.

Mykola Azarov also criticized the inaction of Transcarpathian authorities that led to the recent flooding.
