Law enforcement officers identified the Transcarpathian “Pennywise”

The man was identified by law enforcement officers of Mukachevo district.

The 21-year-old resident of Irshava district wearing the costume of the clown Pennywise in December and January was roaming the streets of the cities of Transcarpathia and scaring ordinary pedestrians. The costume was seized from the man. The case is under investigation
Yesterday, January 15, offcers of the Mukachevo Police Department identified the man.
An investigation was launched over production and distribution of videos promoting violence and cruelty. Under the procedural control of the Mukachevo Local Prosecutor’s Office, the city police department identified the man.
As the police found out, the resident of Irshava district wearing the mask of Pennywise filmed videos and posted video blogs on his page to increase the number of the channel subscribers. In total, he has posted 9 such videos filmed in Mukachevo, Uzhgorod and Irshava.
According to the findings of the art and psychological forensic examination of the Transcarpathian Research and Forensic Expert Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, no promotion of violence and cruelty was found in those videos.
The investigation under Part 2 of Article 300 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Production or distribution of works promoting violence and cruelty) is ongoing. The clown costume was seized.
