Today, early in the morning, numerous searches and arrests of candidates under a proceeding over voter bribing started in several districts of Transcarpathian region.
Professor of UzhNU Fedir Shandor wrote on Facebook that currently is is known about the arrests of people in Vynogradiv, Uzhgorod and Irshava districts. Mr Shandor noted that according to the policemen, the special operation will last until July 21…
"Today, at 7:00, a large-scale special operation for detention of people, who bribe voters, began in Transcarpathia. The detainees were indicted and face imprisonment for 3 to 7 years with confiscation of property… Unfortunately, among the detainees, there are mothers with many children, village teachers and doctors, and even law enforcement officials… According to the policemen, the special operation will continue until July 21…", – Fedir Shandor wrote.
