Last week, more than 270,000 UAH of electricity was stolen

The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs that during the period from 24 to 30 of October this year, the company’s employees revealed 68 facts of electricity thefts.In particular, they made 54 reports of violations by households and 14 reports of violations by legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.). Most cases of illegal interference in the power grid among households over the past six months were found in Tyachiv and Mizhhirya districts of Transcarpathian region (17 and 7 violations respectively).

The most common violation is damaging and removal of seals on metering devices, and interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass, etc.).

In the legal sector (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.) facts of thefts were detected in 8 districts, most of which were detected in Uzhgorod and Perechyn districts (3 violations each).

The most popular violation (in 8 cases) remains the interference in the metering device by damaging it (damag meter housing, broken glass, etc.).Also during the last week, Committees to review reports of violation imposed fines totaling UAH 273.08 thousand, of which:

– households – UAH 185.52 thousand;

– legal sector – UAH 87.56 thousand.
