On Sunday, March 29, at 3:00 in the morning, Ukraine switched to daylight saving time. Hands of clocks were moved one hour ahead.
Terms of the daylight saving time in Ukraine are introduced according to the recommendations of the UN Economic Commission for Europe to harmonize the timing throughout Europe and neighboring countries.
Transition to daylight saving time in Ukraine is carried out on the last Sunday of March at 3 o’clock, and the transition to winter time – on the last Sunday of October at 4:00.
By the way, in Transcarpathia, bordering with Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Romania, many people live in two time zones – Kyiv and European (one hour back). This is caused by the fact that by 1945 the region belonged to different European countries.
