Noble Traminer and delicious Rose from the Pinot Noir grape variety – these wines will be produced by Oleg Skrypka in Transcarpathia.
Today, in the vineyards of the beautiful teroir – Mala Hora, near Beregovo – the musician and cultural figure told how he came up with the idea of becoming a winegrower. And he made this way from misunderstanding of wine, then through the experience in France, finally, to the love of winemaking culture and Transcarpathia as the region with the best conditions for making the sun drink.
Skrypka is preparing a limited series of wine (just 5 thousand bottles of each type) titled "Kraina Mriy". Mr. Oleg is convinced that Transcarpathia is a special wonderful part of our land of dreams: very interesting, colorful and with a great potential.
The musician himself controls grapes gathering (that is, the author of the wine chooses the specific bunches that will become wine) and is involved in the entire production process. The limited series of wine is being produced using a special rare breed of French grape yeast. And also without mechanical crushing of grapes, that is, from the first, best, most valuable juice. The "Kraina Mriy" wine is already in the fermentation stage and will be presented this year, first of all, in Kyiv. Then, the wine under the trade name of Oleg Skrypka will take part in exhibitions and festivals, the musician also plans to hold wine parties, because he believes that wine should be presented properly, because it is more than a drink – it is philosophy, culture and art.
Yes, Oleg Skrypka calls wine art and considers it a part of the culture of consuming high-quality healthy products. He also shows his respect for the wine-growing and winemaking traditions of Transcarpathia and the team of the winery, where the project is being implemented. And he believes in a good future of high-quality Ukrainian wine, first of all – Transcarpathian!
