"UDAR" party withdrew 26 of its parliamentary candidates in majority districts in favor of colleagues from the opposition. According to UNIAN, this is referred to in the statement of "UDAR", distributed to reporters after the party congress, which was held in Kyiv today behind closed doors.
UDAR also supported self-nominated candidates: Dony, Matchuk, Kurus. "UDAR" hopes that "Batkivshchyna" will make a similar move and withdraw its candidates from 22 constituencies. The party emphasized: the only criterion for selection of candidates should be the ability to ensure the result – to prevent the victory of the Party of Regions – and not personal ambitions of politicians and political forces. Also, the statement indicates that the party did not force its candidates to withdraw their nominations and the vast majority made a conscious choice.
The main intrigue in Transcarpathia is whether Rostislav Bulanov, representing the Klitschko party in Uzhgorod constituency, withdrew his nomination in favor of another candidate.
Rostislav Bulanov did not withdraw his candidacy for the elections – the local press service of the political party has just reported, noting that none of the Transcarpathian candidates left the race early.
