Yesterday in the evening, in Uzhgorod, on the river, the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir presented the folk theatrical performance "The Night of Ivan Kupala on the Uzh". This was reported by the press service of the City Council.
Unfortunately, life has made adjustments to the program that the artists had prepared: during the exercises, soldiers of the 15th separate mountain infantry battalion, which is a part of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade and is based in Uzhgorod, were killed and wounded at the training range in Rivne region. Therefore, the event on the banks of the Uzh started with a minute of silence, the performance of the "Prayer for Ukraine" and mourning songs.
The head of the choir, Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk, also invited the audience to take part the weaving of the memorial wreath.
Though it was raining, a lot of spectators came to see the "premiere" of the Transcarpathian folk choir with songs and round dances.
At the end of the event, the head of the regional organization of healthy lifestyle, rehabilitation and healing "Transcarpathian walrus", candidate of sciences Bohdan Dyky invited the spectators to try to walk on hot coal.
