Today, November 28, Leonid Kuchma visited Transcarpathia. The second President of Ukraine together with the head of the Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal made a trip to the city of Irshava and presented the local art school for children the piano Essex Steinway & Sons, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.
The presentation piano was held in a festive atmosphere, students of the school immediately tested the quality of the instrument by performing musical pieces for the distinguished guests.
Under the special program of the second president’s Presidential Fund "Ukraine", music schools across the country shall receive 75 high-quality pianos. According to the conditions of the program, only music schools outside regional centers can receive instruments. Irshava Children’s Art School (which became the 55th participant of the program) was selected by the Fund "Ukraine", because at the regional competition it took second place in Transcarpathia behind Uzhgorod P. Tchaikovsky Music School № 1.
