A visit to the museum is always a special event, or even an adventure. Depends on what feeling a person is going to the museum with and how much he or she is interested in what is in it.
Lina Degtyaryova, having visited Kotska museum, wrote on her page on Facebook about the museum itself, and about what she had seen there, and about the artist, and about the interior.
"If you want a special atmosphere in Uzhgorod, go to the museum workshop of Andriy Kotska. Anton reminded me about it. There are not many paintings there, only three rooms are open to the public, and some people even requested a refund (20 UAH) because they were expecting a larger exhibition.
But you take a time machine trip to the artist’s place, he just went out for a moment and will be back soon.
Another unique feature of the Kotska museum is a beautiful small garden. Here, you can see exotic plants planted by the artist himself, as well as plain primroses growing through the rocks. You can examine all details of modernistic design and interior. Especially, ribbon windows designed according to Bauhaus principles to give more light.
Here are photos of what can be photographed – without paintings.
ps: And immediately go to the museum of F. Manaylo for the contrast. Rooms there are lighter, more spacious, there are many paintings, and there is no garden. But the atmosphere of presence is the same. It was impossible to take pictures there, because paintings were everywhere. They are awesome, you’ll see."
