Kostryno gathered lemkys at the third annual “Vatra” (PHOTOS)

The third regional festival "Lemky’s Vatra" has been celebrated in the recreation center "Krasia" in the village of Kostrino of Velikiy Berezny district. Thousands of locals and visitors from different parts of the Earth came to socialize and get acquainted with the creative acquisitions of the representatives of a well-known ethnic group. There were many guests from America, Poland, Slovakia and Russia.

At the exhibition of products of craftsmen, embroidery evoked a special interest (especially towels, napkins) as well as wood carving and artistic canvases.

There was a great concert of original authentic bands from Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv region, our region (Lemky folk amateur ethnographic-folk singing and dancing bands "Studenka" from Kalush, Lemky folk choir "Beskid" from Ivano-Frankivsk, vocal duet "Camelia" from Uzhgorod, a folk vocal trio "Edelweiss" from Volovets, folk band "Lemkivchanka" from Zirichevo of Perechyn district and many others). The performance of the original folk band "Lyutyanskie muzyky" had particular success, they were called for an "encore".

Lit at the beginning of a great concert vatra (bonfire) was a beautiful symbol of Lemkys assembly. Some were lucky to try potatoes baked in it.
