Klimkin will come to Transcarpathia to negotiate with the Hungarians

Ukraine does not want the relations with Hungary to worsen because of the deportation of its consular its territory. This was announced today at a press conference in Kyiv, following the meeting with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajczak, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, the correspondent of UNN reported.

"Now we are talking about the importance of holding consultations with the Hungarian party about this issue… We do not want the relations with Hungary to worsen. We have a clear strategy with clear actions which we may or may not do. We must resolve all issues in such a way that would be beneficial to our Hungarian community," – Klimkin said.

He noted that he intends to visit Transcarpathia in the near future to talk with Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak and other communities.

Recall that today Ukraine served the Ambassador of Hungary Erno Keskeny a note about the deportation of the consul of Hungary in Beregovo. He must leave the country within 72 hours. In turn, Hungary decided to deport a Ukrainian consul in retaliation to the similar move by Kyiv. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto at a press conference.
