Seasonal sale of vegetables at Uzhgorod markets is in full swing. Baby potatoes, crunchy cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, various greens beams – all this has added color to market stalls. However everything is rather pricey.
Potatoes today, on May 26, are being sold for 5 hryvnia per kilogram of little ones, and for 9 – big ones. Tomatoes cost within 12 hryvnia, cucumbers – 7.
As for the berries, sweet cherries cost 15 hryvnia per liter, a kilo of strawberries – 17 hryvnia, and half a liter of wild strawberry – 35 hryvnia.
We add that prices hold firm in Uzhgorod, for example, in the neighboring Perechyn everything is much cheaper, you can even buy cucumbers for three hryvnia.
