Killed law enforcement officers were commemorated in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Every year, on August 22, Ukrainians commemorate law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

The ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the fallen police officers took place in Uzhgorod on Pravoslavna embankment, the press service of the Uzhgorod City Council reported.

The killed policemen were commemorated by the heads of the Transcarpathian region and the city of Uzhgorod, the Main Office of the National Police in the region, regional departments of the Security Service of Ukraine, State Emergencies Service, State Fiscal Service, the prosecutor’s office, the patrol police in Transcarpathian region, servicemen, members of the public and civil society.

After the performance of the Anthem of Ukraine, the memory of the victims was honored with a gunfire.
