Khust rescuers have received modern hydraulic equipment of the German company "Lucas." It was recently presented to them by their colleagues from the church volunteer fire brigade in the village of Dertsen in Mukachevo district.
A sort of a workshop for the personnel was conducted personally by the acting chief of the 10th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Khust Roman Oros.
This state-of-the-art hydraulic unit is indispensable for rescue workers, primarily in dealing with aftermath of accidents when it is necessary to cut, decompress or compress metal structures to release victims from mutilated vehicles. Also, it can be effectively used for clearing various kinds of debris by lifting and lowering structures.
According to Roman Oros, this "Lucas" can be used effectively at a distance of about 50 meters from the center of rescue operations, which will allow to better perform the tasks.
