Khust district: bomb experts destroyed a mortar shell found in the cemetery

On June 18, at about 11:00,the Rescue Service was reported that in the village of Iza in Khust district, a metal object, similar to a mortar shell, had been found at the local cemetery.

Khust rescuers arrived at the scene for preliminary identification of the found object and confirmed that it was an 82 mm mortar shell of World War II period.

At 18:30, the pyrotechnic group of the special purpose rescue squad of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region removed and destroyed the shell.
