According to the Communications Department of the Transcarpathian regional police, officers of the Svalyava Police Department caught two local residents on committing at least three thefts of property. Two young men, aged 18 and 16, entered the territory of the mineral water plant in Svalyava last night and removed 4 batteries from the trucks. According to the owner, the cost of the spare parts is about 16 thousand hryvnias.
Another theft committed by the boys from the utility room of the Mukachevo unit of the Lviv Railway was solved by officers of the Svalyava criminal police. The young men entered the territory of the enterprise at night and took a copper cable and a power tool.
The police also confiscated from the boys a set of tools, which they had stolen from a car Renault parked near high-rise buildings in the district center.
All the stolen items, which the young men intended to sell in the future, were confiscated by police officers.
Their actions are classified under Part 1 and Part 3 of Article 185 (Theft committed with breaking and entering) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Police are currently checking the thieves for involvement in other property crimes in the district.
