Jean Reno will play a killer… in Transcarpathia!

The renowned actor, who played the main character in the cult film "Leon" Jean Reno, will play his last role, and will do it in Transcarpathia.

Part of the film is planned to be shot in the Transcarpathian Verkhovyna.

Ukraine has allocated more than 20 million hryvnia for the Ukrainian-French thriller "The Last Step" – the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema Affairs reported on January 26.

Like in the cult film "Leon", Jean Reno will once again play a professional killer. After completion of the shootings, the world famous actor will retire from acting.

The film will be shot in the Carpathians, on the Synevyr Lake, in Kyiv, New York and Canada. Next to the French film legend, we will also see Ukrainian actors, including Igor Tsishkevich, Margarita Burkovska and Oleg Karpenko.

The film "The Last Step" is to be released in 2019.
