Concerts in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic occur regularly. But they wanted something special, festive, exclusive. Thus, the festival "Music without borders" was launched four years ago. It is no coincidence that spring was chosen for this arts festival as it is the most beautiful season for Uzhgorod – when sakura blooms and everything is green. The concept of the festival involves the rejection of any boundaries and limitations in genre, stylistic, performing or any other aspect. "Music without borders" is an annual festival. Usually, artists of our Philharmonic take part in the event, but they invite soloists or interesting groups from all over Ukraine and abroad.
So, from 19 to 29 of April, the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Society invites everyone to the III International Festival "Music without borders". The opening of the festival will be held on Sunday, April 19, ot18.00, and will feature Oksana Slavna and "Impromptu" band (Vinnytsia).
Oksana Slavna is our fellow Transcarpathian, who now lives in another city. At one time, she was one of the most brilliant artists of Transcarpathia, was actively touring here, and also teaching talented youth as a vocal teacher at Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts. However, Vinnytsia for Oksana is not a strange city: she was studying there, and her family lives there. So, when the promising singer was invited to become a soloist of the orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Vinnytsia region, she agreed.
Oksana Slavina is not only a talented performer, but also a successful composer. Her songs were performed even at the "Junior" Eurovision" and on Italian television.
Now Oksana Slavina is a known Vinnytsia jazz performer, prepares a big solo programs, collaborates with various groups, tours at home and abroad.
