Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha believes that the situation which has arisen in the constituency number 71 and in many other constituencies across the state, is attributable to the Election Law, which was adopted by the Party of Regions. Ivan Baloha said that in a commentary to the media after the meeting, which was held in Khust to support the recognition of voting results and the winning candidate Pavlo Baloha.
Ivan Baloha believes that now the Party of Regions is defaming the entire country.
The chairman of the Regional Council noted that the lawsuits filed by the pro-government candidate Stepan Derkach are similar to those submitted in 2004 and those that are being submitted now throughout the entire state, where the opposition representatives or candidates that are not the members of the Party of Region are winning. The claims are put forward for flimsy reasons, nonexistent people sign acts, the courts rule in favor of pro-government candidates, and most election commissions decide to cancel the results.
