WOG, a well-known network of gas filling complexes and a network of small restaurants WOG CAFE, opened a new cafe in the new terminal of Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany.
The modern designed WOG CAFE is located on the second floor of the passenger terminal ‘A’ in the departure area, and works 24/7. The new cafe is comfortable and spacious – its total area is 72.0 sq. M. The café is designed for 30 seats.
‘In a while we are going to celebrate the second anniversary of WOG CAFE working at ‘Kyiv’ airport. Within two years the café has proved its success and popularity. Therefore, taking into account the needs and requests of travelers, considering their wishes, a new café was opened in the new terminal. The main value for us is customer comfort. Therefore, the café meets all modern trends and demands: stylish interior and the most comfortable and coziest place for every visitor. And, of course, passengers can buy their favorite meals and drinks from the familiar WOG CAFE menu at their usual prices. We hope that the new cafe will be for every passenger the first point at the airport, from which a pleasant journey will begin.’, Maxim Pyatakov, WOG CAFÉ network director, says.
When passengers visit the new café, they are able to purchase a variety of coffee drinks, tea, meals and desserts. Here travelers are offered porridge, fresh-sandwiches, pita, hot dogs, rolls, croissants, muffins, profiteroles, donuts, cheesecakes, pancakes and much more. Customers will have an opportunity to spend time at the table or use ‘to go’ format allowing taking away food and drinks on board.
The prices in the cafe are democratic. For example, those who want to snack with a hot dog will pay 59 UAH, the average portion of cappuccino will cost 47 UAH, fresh sandwiches will cost 79 UAH.
The new café, just like all WOG cafes, will offer PRIDE loyalty program. By using the application, every visitor of the café will be able to accumulate bonuses for purchases and spend them by paying for the products at WOG CAFE and WOG MARKET.
The management of WOG network of gas filling stations has repeatedly declared that for new WOG CAFE locations it considers transport hubs and infrastructure facilities, since this is the direction the company is interested in from the point of view of customer demand.
‘Our café that has been working at the airport for two year issued 308,000 receipts in 2018. We expect that the café in the new terminal will become even more popular. Therefore, this year we plan to increase the receipt number by 20%’, Maxim Pyatakov adds.
It should be noted that opening the new café is not the last point in the network development. The company will continue to expand into the restaurant market by increasing the number of cafés outside gas filling stations. In a while WOG CAFE will open its doors to passengers of Lviv Danylo Halytskyi International Airport.
It is worth mentioning that in comparison with 2017, in 2018 hot drinks sales at WOG network of gas filling stations have increased by 13% (30 million portions in 2018 versus 26 million cups in 2017). In addition, in 2018, the average WOG CAFE receipt has increased by 13% in comparison with last year (14% for gas filling complexes and 32% at Intercity) .
Within several years of work in Ukraine, WOG CAFE network has managed to earn a reputation as a leader in the food retail market by presenting its products not only at gas filling stations and 16 Intercity high-speed trains, but also in the network of city coffee shops in Kiev and Lviv. According to a marketing study conducted by the international company Nielsen, in 2018 WOG company became the leader among gas filling stations in ‘coffee’ category.
