This week, during the meeting of the executive committee of Uzhgorod city council, it was decided to allocate funds in the amount of UAH 14.9 million for the implementation of the Program of logistics support of educational institutions in 2016-2020.
According to the Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv, the implementation of this program will improve the conditions of children training in schools and maximally satisfy the needs of Uzhgorod residents in quality education.
He stressed that the current level of financial support of the regional center schools is inadequate. The amount of the funds allocated does not allow to meet the most urgent needs of the schools, not to mention upgrading and updating of the material resources.
According to him, improvement of the material resources will facilitate the improvement of the quality of school education, will allow to use modern electronic educational means in the educational process that will lead to better education. "Now parents do not need to allocate funds from the family budget in order to fit schools and kindergartens with necessary facilities", – Mr. Andriyiv assured.
The program is funded from the city budget and other sources not prohibited by applicable law. The program funding amounts to 14,910,000 UAH.
