Istvan Tsap: “It did not go as the prosecutors had planned”

The First Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod commented on the events in the City and District Court, where, as we reported, the hearing in his case was postponed.

He said: "You saw that Tsap, who allegedly "hides from investigation," came to the court, but prosecutors did not show up. The prosecutors had a trump card – hiding from investigation, but it did not go as they had planned and now they do not know what to do."

Istvan Tsap is already working and says that "everything is fine."

Before that, he had promised interesting news on this high-profile case and the issues of corruption in Uzhgorod in general. He also noted that most likely the prosecution would insist on taking him into custody, "and we will object," – Tsap says.  And today, he reiterated that he has no intentions to leave Uzhgorod and hide.
