“Iron pancake”, pancakes from Shtefanyo, and “Bear Island” are the surprises at the merry winter holiday in Uzhgorod

Several surprises have been prepared for this year’s "Uzhgorod palachinta" – the winter festival to be held on 11 and 12 of February in the Bozdosh park.

This was announced by the organizers in Uzhgorod Press Club.

Traditionally, there will be pancakes as the main thing in the varied menu, winter sports (like climbing a pillar to get a gift) and positive family-friendly format.

The following innovations are planned: weightlifting competition "Iron pancake", exclusive presentation of Transcarpathian jam made of fresh berries, special cakes from world famous confectioner Valentin Shtefanyo. Also new attractions for children and adults are expected (there will be surprises!).

The Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers will present their own special location.

The volunteers (known as the "Transcarpathian Bears") have chosen their format for the competition – their tent will be called "Bear Island", and the arctic theme will be presented, because the original island is in the cold Svalbard archipelago and has its natural features. There will be a special cuisine and other attractions.

In general, the organizers invite both catering professionals and amateurs.
