These days, the regional center of Transcarpathia hosted the 6th International Festival of Children and Youth Creativity "Spring Ball in Uzhgorod". Every year, geography and the number of participants are expanding: this year more than 900 talented children and young people from Odesa, Dnipro, Mariupol, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolayiv, Brovary, Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Svalyava, Beregovo, Irshava and other cities took part in the festival.
The day before, competitive performances took place in the PADIYUN, the jury were working the whole day. The participants were competing in several nominations: choreography (folk stylized dance, modern choreography, Street dance, dance and fashion theaters, ballroom dance, oriental dance, pop dance, classical dance); vocal (folk, classical, pop, choral groups, show groups, singer-songwiter); instrumental music (classical, folk, pop, original). Traditionally, the gala concert started with the performance of the police brass band, after which the participants of the folk dance ensemble "Dzhereltsia Karpat" and majorettes of Uzhgorod College of Culture and Arts performed on the stage.
After the gala concert, the participants of the festival joined the large-scale dance flash mob on Sandor Petofi square, which took place at the initiative of the Children’s Dance Academy "Dzhereltsia Karpat". The "Spring Ball" was held with the support of Uzhgorod City Council.
