International dance competition in Transcarpathia brought together more than 400 athletes (PHOTOS)

   International dance sport competitions, the Carpathian Euroregion Cup, for the first time was held in Uzhgorod in 1997. Then, athletes from Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Ukraine gathered to determine the strongest dancers.

   Now, in 2013, the competition is held with the same participating countries. During the first day, about 400 participants competed in the classification and open categories of the competition.

   The main and most interesting part of the competition is considered the team match of the Carpathian Euroregion coutries, which began on the second day of the tournament, October 27.

  The main purpose of these competitions, in the opinion of the organizers, is the presentation of Transcarpathian dance school, promotion of dance sport in the region.

   – Transcarpathia again proves that it is ready to host such a prestigious dance competitions. A good proof of this is another great news – in spring of 2014, the European dance sport cup will be held in the region – the head of the region, Oleksandr Ledyda said. 

   So, the results of the competition in the "adult" category are as follows: Slovakia – 5th, Romania – 4th, Hungary – second. Teams from Ukraine came third and first – the press-center of the RSA reported.
