The tourist route in Uzhgorod will include 12 of the most interesting sights. The start will be at the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, and the finish – on Sandor Petofi Square. The total length is 3 km, so tourists will be able to visit all the important locations of Uzhgorod and learn interesting details about them within 1.5-2 hours. The symbol of the Uzhgorod route is a friendly bear.
The route in Uzhgorod, like in other cities, will be marked with arrows and special plates with QR-codes, symbols and numbers of locations. The plates with QR-codes will be set directly at the sites, the arrows will point to the next location.
When reading the QR-code with a smartphone or a tablet, tourists will be redirected to the page with a detailed description and photos of the nearest historical or cultural site – a square, a building, a monument. Description of the sights will include links to a detailed city map showing the locations with other QR-codes. In addition, to historical information, Uzhgorod residents and visitors can find out interesting stories and legends. Over time, the route will be complemented with narrated tours.
