Ingenuity of smugglers has no limits – “tobacco” juice

Yesterday, border guards of Mukachevo Detachment, at the checkpoint "Dyakove" prevented an attempt of a citizen of Romania to carry across the border 146 packs of contraband tobacco. The 36-year-old Romanian arrived at the checkpoint by a passenger car "Ford" and chose the green lane for crossing the border.  During the operative and preventive measures against tobacco transportation and control measures in the first line, border guards suspected that objects and materials hidden from border control were being transported in this vehicle. Therefore, the said vehicle was taken out of the common queue.

During the in-depth inspection, they found in the luggage compartment a cardboard box with 12 packages of juice of a famous brand. But, as it turned out, there was no juice of these packages, instead the foreigner packed in the containers 146 packs of cigarettes "JIN LING".

       The detection of the cigarettes was documented in the report. The cigarettes were seized as prescribed by the law. The contraband cigarettes "JIN LING" were estimatted at 1,668 UAH.
