Independence Day in Uzhgorod was celebrated at dawn with the “Prayer for Ukraine”, which was performed by the Transcarpathian Folk Choir

For the fourth year in a row, on the initiative of the Honored Academic Transcarpathian folk choir, the main state holiday is celebrated at the sunrise.

The clergymen of all denominations prayed for peace in Ukraine, for its prosperity, for the soldiers who are defending the independence of the state, children recited "Our Father" in different languages.

The leaders of the region and the city, the military, and many Uzhgorod citizens joined the common prayer.

The culmination of the event was the joint performance of the anthem of Ukraine. – the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informs.
