The development and implementation of individual programs for development of children with special educational needs in kindergartens and secondary schools continues in the region.
Currently, the changes in current legislation concerning education of children with special educational needs have been adopted, in particular the introduction of inclusive education in pre-schools, secondary schools, and the necessary further steps to provide adequate education to such children irrespective of their place of residence have been defined.
Today, there are 96 inclusive classes in 61 schools of the region, where 108 children with special educational needs are enrolled together with their peers. In addition, there are 13 special forms at secondary schools, where 90 children requiring correction of physical and (or) mental development are enrolled, and another 846 such children are being educated individually.
