According to the regional epidemiologist Victoria Tymchyk, this is 30% more than that in the previous week. The high incidence rate of 607 per 100,000 people exceeded the epidemic level by 41%.
During the past week, 7,606 people in Transcarpathia became ill with acute respiratory infections.
The number of appeals in Volovets, Irshava and Tyachiv districts has more than doubled. The highest rates of morbidity among the population are in the city of Uzhgorod – 1,212 per 100 thousand people, Volovets district – 1,216 per 100 thousand people, Vynogradiv district – 817 per 100 thousand people, Uzhgorod district – 813 per 100 thousand people, and the city of Mukachevo – 673 per 100 thousand people.
Threshold levels are exceeded in 11 administrative territories of the region, except Beregovo, Khust, Perechyn and Velyky Berezny districts.
Children under 17 years make up 69% of the patients (5,269 cases), adults – 31% (2,337 cases). Among the sick children, the highest number of referrals was recorded in the age group of 5-14 years old (58% of all ill children).
The hospitalization rate increased by 30% compared to the previous week and amounts to 3%. In total, 194 patients have received inpatient medical care in the region, incl. 70% children under 17 years.
In order to prevent the spread of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza among the pediatric population of the region, anti-epidemic restrictive measures in the form of suspension of the educational process in all pre-school and school educational establishments are in place in the city of Mukachevo, as well as Mukachevo, Beregovo, Rakhiv, Irshava and Vynogradiv districts, schools of the city of Uzhgorod, Perechyn and Mizhhirya districts, in some pre-schools and schools of Uzhgorod and Volovets districts.
